Codenomicon invited to fuzz test SAP's ERP-System

Earlier this year SAP AG invited Codenomicon to join a Release Test at the global test facilities at world wide Headquarters in Walldorf, Germany.
SAP extended its robustness test portfolio by using the new fuzz testing technologies, which have not been used in an automated way before. Codenomicon was able to support SAP's quality assurance team to make the actual SAP releases more robust and secure during two test sessions this year.
Dr. Bitz, Director Product Security says: "We were positively astonished, how easy a test with help of Codenomicon is and what impacting problems can be found, Defensics seems to be a good tool and fuzzing seems to be a good method to measure quality of systems like robustness and security before flaws occur and fixes have to be done later."
Dr. Gunter Bitz from SAP and Mr. Ruediger Rey, Area Manager CE at Codenomicon arranged the joint test, where security specialists Mr. Heikki Kortti and Mr. Sami Petäjäsoja from Codenomicon Labs tested together with SAP's Test and Development specialists.
