He has also held CEO positions for startup companies that include IntelliSearch and Computas, along with serving as chairman of Active ISP. An experienced entrepreneur, David founded InfoStream and led the company through a successful IPO in 1999.

Mr. Rauli Kaksonen is a founder and CTO of Codenomicon. He has developed security and robustness testing methods in academic and commercial settings since 1999. Before founding Codenomicon, he worked as a Researcher at VTT Electronics, Technical Research Centre of Finland. Mr. Kaksonen is a Master of Science and Licentiate of Technology from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Oulu University.

Mr. Ari Takanen is a founder and CRO of Codenomicon Ltd. He is a distinctive member of the global security testing community and a regular speaker at various testing and security conferences. His professional background is on academic software security testing research, where he has been active since 1998.

Mikko Varpiola is an expert in anomaly design, security vulnerability discovery, and unknown vulnerability management. He is a world-renowned expert on how to make software/firmware/hardware fail. Before founding Codenomicon he was a key researcher at the globally recognized security research group, Oulu University Secure Programming Group (OUSPG). He actively participates in the development of secure programming practices and automation of software security testing. His contributions are integral to the development of practical implementations of generation-based fuzz testing software. Recently Mikko has focused his efforts on Codenomicon’s Fuzz-o-Matic Testing-as-a-Service (TaaS) platform and on esearch how into testing instrumentation to reliably detect vulnerabilities in real-time.
Mrs. Virpi Koivumaa is responsible for the global operations including F&C, HR, legal and ICT. She has been a member of the team since 2006. Mrs. Koivumaa is an expert in leading financial operations with special focus on developing accounting processes, budgeting, board reporting, auditing, taxation and due diligence. In the past she has organized a number of acquisitions and been a key figure in reorganizations. She earned her Master's degree in Economics at the University of Oulu. Her thesis discussed the impact of R&D on companies' valuation.

Mr. Sami Petäjäsoja is Codenomicon’s Vice President for the APAC region. He's been with Codenomicon for 7 years. Along his career he has led Codenomicon’s global support team and kickstarted the partner network in Asia. Since April 2011, Mr. Petäjäsoja has led the Codenomicon office in Singapore, and established local organizations for Japan, China, Hong Kong and India. His key fields of expertise include NGN networks and service security. Prior to Codenomicon, Mr. Petäjäsoja worked several years at Mentor Graphics as a Software Designer and Product Manager.

Steve Hayes joined Codenomicon in 2006 and brings more than 35 years of corporate leadership experience in the software industry to his role of Vice President for the Americas. Steve’s previous experience includes Service, Business Development and Sales Management positions in Canada, United Sates and Europe with Interdata (acquired by Perkin Elmer), ComTest, Servicesoft (acquired by Kana), Telelogic (acquired by IBM), and Klocwork. An experienced entrepreneur, Steve also founded LIGAN Technologies in 1994, which was acquired by Segue Software in 1997. Steve’s educational background is Computer Science and Business from Algonquin College and Harvard Business School.
